Coming from a Jamaican/Cuban background, Hector Lincoln is the son of well-known Caribbean diplomat and journalist, Hector Wynter (deceased). Raised between Jamaica and Florida, he comes from a huge family that includes three brothers and two sisters.
At the age of 16, Hector won a local model and talent competition and eventually moved to France, where he began modeling fulltime. Over the years, he's worked in such markets as Paris, Milan, New York, Miami, Toronto, Montreal and much of the Caribbean. He's also done modeling for Gucci, Benetton, Ralph Lauren, Macy's, The Bay, Coca-Cola, K-Mart, JC Penney, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sears, Nike, Budweiser, Sapporo Beer and Microsoft to name a few.
Graduating from New York's prestigious "Actor's Institute," Hector expanded his resume to include acting as well. To date he's starred in music videos for reggae artists Maxi Priest and Black Uhuru; served as the backstage correspondent at Caribbean Fashion Week; appeared on popular television series' like "Law & Order," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Third Watch," "Hope and Faith," and the long-running Caribbean soap opera "Royal Palm Estate." More recently, he landed small roles in feature films like Freedom Land and 50 Cent's biopic Get Rich or Die Tryin', as well as part in the short film Treasure Island. He's also begun to explore his comedic side, performing at venues like Stand-Up New York, Gotham Comedy Club, The New York Comedy Club and Caroline's.
Despite all his accomplishments, Hector is thrilled about his latest role as a VJ on Tempo. "I am proud to be part of MTV's new channel Tempo and am positive that it's going to be a must on everyone's list. The contributions that we Caribbean people have made to everyday culture are too numerous to name, so it's about time that we showcase our culture to the mainstream in everyway."
