Injury Sidelines World`s Fastest Man
CaribWorldNews, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. June 4, 2010: The world`s fastest man has been taken out of racing for the next few weeks by an Achilles` injury.
Jamaica`s Usain St. Leo Bolt will have to rest for the next two to three weeks due to an Achilles` tendon injury, his management team said in a statement this week.
They explained that the Olympic gold medalist and world record holder in the 100 meters has inflammation of his tendon and that he developed stiffness last week and a doctor advised him to take a two- to three-week break.
This means that Bolt has been forced out of the Adidas Grand Prix, the fifth stop on the 14-meet international Diamond League circuit set for next weekend at Randall`s Island in New York.
